Adverts should really be in the classified section, but perhaps this one is a little different as the occasion is so unusual.

I would strongly recommend a trip to Indonesia to see this amazing and rare event.

The short time the event lasts could be part of an amazing holiday in this wonderful country.

Palembang has a lot of roots in history. I have several relatives living there.
However, I haven't been there yet.
And one of my favorite food is pempek. The taste is out of this world...

Everyone should visit Palembang just once, if you live longer in Indonesia.

For us in Bali, this eclipse is most auspicious as it falls directly on the start of our Nyepi, (Day of Silence), March 9.  The eclipse is scheduled to begin at about 7:22 AM on the 9th, and Nyepi starts at sunrise (roughly 6 AM) the same day.

Here in Bali the eclipse won't be total, but roughly 2/3 to 3/4 of the sun in eclipse.

This event in Palembang will support bye Ministry of Indonesian Tourism and many popular travel blogger :)

we have ogoh ogoh atraction too in Benteng Kuto Besak plaza :)

Ah, so you do ogoh ogoh parades as well.  That's great!  Lots of fun for the night before Nyepi Day.   Here in Bali we go all out with our ogoh ogoh.

Cheers, and selamat hari raya Nyepi!

thank you :)
