Hi All, Im from Sri Lanka and planning to move in to Ipoh with my girl friend. both as students. please help me on following matters
1.Is it possible to find a safe accommodation and what is the average cost?
2. Will the regulation allows to do part time jobs for students?
3. Is it against the rule for opposite sex to live together as we were not married.

Living together not an issue if you are not Muslim.

Ipoh is a nice place but has problems, mostly at night.
The red light districts have everything you'd expect from that trade and the customers who hang around there.
Living together isn't much of an issue as long as you aren't Muslim and don't cause any problems. You generally find the various population groups live in their own areas, so you should have no problems finding a rental in an Indian place. You'll also find a lot of Tamil speakers out there.
