Brazil Nuts About Surf !

For anyone considering a surfing trip to Brasil I strongly recommend leaving your surfboard behind and purchasing from a local manufacturer upon arrival here in Brasil.
The major air carriers charge between US$ 150-250 to transport surfboards each way. There is a strong surfboard industry here in Brasil and cost of a locally manufactured quality surfboard is half the cost of the surfboard you bought at home.
Pack fins, leashes, wetsuits and other accessories in your suitcase and save a lot of money.
There are thousands of beautiful beaches with waves in this country, and Brazilian surfers are overall warm towards receiving estrangeiro surfers.

Brazilians are among the best surfers in the world, because they get lots of practice.

In fact, they don't even need to go to the beach to get practice, all they need is to ride standing up on the subway or commuter trains, especially in São Paulo and Rio.

I reckon' that would make them currently the best in the world. Perhaps all the professional surfers of the world should take up train and subway standing

Well then they'd at least have a fighting chance.

Loved watching the surfers in Salvador Bahia, IN THE CITY, surfing next to the Farol da Barra.
