Hi all!

How much money I need for a Lycian Way trek? I'm going to travel with a tent, without staying in hotels. Any suggestions?

Xeeschan

Hi Ted,

It depends on the number of days you plan to travel. An acquaintance recently spent around 3-4 weeks and their expense was around 4,000 TL.

If you have a tent, you would incur daily expenses of food and alcohol, and occasional expenses of travelling.

Considering what you eat, the food should cost you between 15-40 TL per day. I mean, you can survive on a 5TL Durum as a dinner too if you want.

If you give more info, perhaps other users can also give more useful tips.
Enjoy the trip

Thanks Xeeschan,

I plan to trek 26 days and maybe plus 2-3 days depending on circumstances.

Ahh cool..

Well, your food budget would be like that. As I mentioned, it does not include liquor. Also, i doubt you would spend much on extra activities.

I think you should have 1500 to 2000 TL just to be on the safe side. At the end of the day, if you manage to do everything within, lets say 1000, it would still be safe for you to have surplus.

Good luck
