Medical coverage for parents on visit visa

Hello all,

I've searched the forums and have landed only confused.

Can someone please kindly tell me if they know for sure:

We are expats.  If my husband sponsors my parents on a visit visa and while here they need to go to the hospital for treatment, is there a hospital for free medical treatment etc?    Is there an insurance I can buy for them while they are here which will cover whatever their issues are?  My mother is 62 and father is 72.

I deeply appreciate any help.

I saw this article in Arab News:

How do I get this for my parents?        Looks like it's required to have insurance and this coverage upon entry?   Has anyone completed this for their parents etc?

Govt. has announced it mandatory and insurance companies here are working in launching such coverage policies. Gonna take a couple of weeks from now I guess.

Meanwhile, you can choose a global insurance plan; like from: https://www.bupaglobal.com/

Ya Legend is right I also searched for my parents when they were here recently. What I came to know that govt has announced but Insurance companies are yet to come up with the coverage plans.
You can call on a help line of any Medical Insurance company (BUPA, MEDGULF, CARS, TAWANIYA ...) here in KSA and put your Query that by which month coverage plans are expected for Visit Visa Holders.

Just Called Bupa and confirmed. If a visitor has an emergency case, we can submit the claim to any insurance company upto 60 days from the treatment by visiting their office.
Outpatient treatments however are not covered sadly.

Hi, my company has offered me Bupa Silver Scheme health insurance with my package. I will be sponsoring my husband and little baby when I get there - does this scheme cover them too?

I'm not too worried about my husband but my son is only 10 months old. He definitely needs to be covered!
