Please do not post in ALL CAPITALS, because on the Internet this is seen as shouting and rude - and I guess that is not the impression you want to make.
If you are coming for a month on a Social Visit Pass or Training Pass (these are visa types) you are not allowed to rent a room privately - residential property can, by Singapore law, only be rented out to residence visa holders and for not less than 6 months.
If the school cannot provide accommodation (they have staff apartments on campus), you should look for a hotel or serviced apartment. Simple budget hotels start at S$80/night (look for the Fragrance Hotel or Hotel 81 chains), but unfortunately there are none near Ngee Ann Poly.
Try out Airbnb or budget dermitory hostels in and around Bugis area, which has well connectivity to your school, where you will get as low as $45 per day.
