I am just about to move to Kenya (Nairobi based) and wondered if camping in a tent is a standard thing to do there? and if so where? Should i bring my own equipment, tent etc? I love camping, me, a tent, an open fire, nature - Is this possible or is it dangerous?

There are a lot of camping sites in Kenya, especially outside Nairobi. Its not dangerous as long as one abides to the warden's advice (if its in a wildlife area).I think its wise for you to carry your equipment to cut on hiring costs!!! karibu kenya
