Moving to Ras Al Khaimah (RAK)

Hi All,

I am a British male who will be moving to RAK in August to teach.

I initially applied for the post which was in either Abu Dhabi or Sharjah but got offered the job in RAK.

Was a little apprehensive initially as i didnt know anything about RAK but signed and agreed to take the job as I really wanted to work in the UAE.

As time is coming closer to moving I'm getting a little stressed as still really don't know a lot about RAK and how it's like to live there being an expat.

I know it's not as busy Dubai and Abu Dhabi for obvious reasons but is there lots to do in RAK to keep you entertained?

I would love to hear any information on RAK and what it's like living there.

If you live or lived there your input and advice would be highly appreciated.

RAK is one of the best place to live, I am used to Dubai night life hence I am not sure how I will fit in but since you its first time I am sure its going to be great, Plenty of Expats gorgeous beach and cheap compare to Dubai...
