Things to do in Florida during the weekends

Florida is dedicated to the County Fair.  Nearly every county in Florida holds a yearly week-long county fair.  The fairs are full of old-time fun events like livestock competitions, music & dance competitions, carnival rides, and lots of junk foods.  Fairs are mostly held in the winter when Florida is cooler and less humid.

But, the best thing about each county's fair is that it, and the fairground's upkeep is paid for by the funds raised throughout the year by expos, concerts, and flea markets that are held on the fairgrounds.  Most events take place on the weekends but some events are held midweek.  Many county fairgrounds hold big flea markets on Saturdays and Sundays.  Orlando fairgrounds has a big flea market every weekend.  The Expo Center holds gun shows, dog shows, craft shows, etc., sponsored by groups that rent the expo center.

There are also many Latino Festivals in Florida.  At the Central Florida Fairgrounds Expo Center, on 19 July, starting at 12:00 p.m., there will be El Festival Colunbiano en Orlando FL.  There will be typical Columbian foods, drinks, artisans, crafts, and music to include Salsa, Merengue, Reggae, and more.
