Flood Insurance for Home

I know in the states flood insurance can be very expensive if you live on ocean front. Especially if your house is not up to the latest building codes or on stilts.

Does anyone have any examples of what they are paying for flood insurance?

Thanks!

I am not living in the island at the moment, but a lot of people now days have cement houses instead of wood houses. As such most do not cary any insurance unless forced by the bank.

Cars usually get the obligatory $75 insurance and nothing else. not too many go above that.

PR people are used to adversity, they just pickup the pieces and go from there. Neighbors and family lend a hand also.
