Moving to Malta in December

Hi,

I'll be staying in St Julians for a week in November - to find a place long term - and will be moving out for good at the end of December...

So really I was just looking for a heads up in terms of the places to look. I was looking for somewhere with a bit of life but not too mental - maybe up the north around Qawra/St Pauls?? Although in winter, if these places are very quiet - would it be better to rent around the St Julians/Sliema area for the first 6 months just to find my feet...?

I work from home so traveling isn't an issue - but will have lots of family and friends visiting (lots of little nieces n nephews too) - so good beaches and a good cafe bar/restaurant vibe would be important.

In terms of budget - I'd be looking around €1k p/m for 2/3 beds....

(If anyone has any good contact for reliable letting agents - that'd be great also!)
