Hi,
As a frequent visitor to Benin I am naturally concern with the recent course of events in Cotonou.
The people have taken to the street to protest against the unlawful arrest of an opposition deputy.
Crowds gathered in front of the deputy's home demanding that the presidential guards remove themselves. Apparently the proper procedure for such a warrant was not followed.
I am due for a visit to Cotonou soon, I would like to have an opinion regarding the political climate of Benin these days. Is it best to wait until things cool down before my next trip?
Thank you and best regards,
Rosco Lee

Hello,
There is no security problem at all in Cotonou for the moment.
Except a few closed roads beginning of the week and significant increase of gas price.

Thank you for the reply.
