This may be a strange question. I know you can't really bring/import wooden items into Belize without special 'permission', but what about wooden handled tools? I have a lot of garden and hand tools with wood handles, and a couple of wooden tool boxes that I don't really want to replace, but am unsure as to what to do. Any suggestions or experience?

Hey we will be going from Mexico into Belize Saturday, wooden items we will let you know if they go through customs.

Just bring them. I saw the same thing and gave away a lot of wood items. If you itemized your belongings just saw carving or such. I think the problem is bringing in raw wood that may have bugs.

Great! Thanks for the info on your experience. I will just make sure everything is itemized, and I am not bringing furniture or the like.
