Abdullah, our 13 year old grandson left his Playstation 3 with three consoles, all worth around US$1,000, in his hand luggage at the Riyadh Airport last afternoon and we went over after 30 hours and it was still there with the Lost & Found counter - Only in Saudi Arabia, I guess?

An Airport Security person had found the bag and handed it over to the lost baggage counter who had inspected the contents, for security reasons, and having found it was something of value, had deposited it in their vault. We went over at 8 pm this evening and collected it without any fuss whatsoever within 15 minutes of identification. Imagine had this happened ain any other Airport on the planet?

They even served us tea while they opened the vault and wrote the receipt of acknowledgement for us to sign to collect the lost bag.

Incredible, indeed....

Heres the man beaming after returning home.

Thanks to the good Samaritan security officer who returned the bag to the authorities.

How delighted the young man was when he saw his lifes precious possession returned to him. What better gift for the Eid?

The guy is over the moon. He even cried when he realized he had lost his hand luggage. God Bless that honest human being. Not easy to find on the planet these days?

MM, you are so right about that.

So happy for Abdullah - he is such a nice young man!
