Hi there. i just moved to puerto rico 2 weeks ago. Any other expats in the Palmas del Mar/ Humacao area ? Seems like everyone is in San Juan! Any recommendations on things to do, good dining in Palmas or Humacao ?

I'm no to far from Palmas, in the rural area of Juncos.
There should be some nice restaurants in Palmas - check out he Penny Saver (the Palmas magazine that you can pickup in most businesses) or the website: http://www.palmasdelmar.com/v2/restaurants.php
I used to hang out in the Barracuda in the Palmas Marina..

One of the best restaurants around here is El Tenedor in Juncos: http://www.resteltenedor.com/

Hi! We may be heading to PR for an expat assignment and it looks like palmas might be the best spot for us to live for a number of reasons. I know your post says you have only been there for 2 weeks. How are you finding it so far? Are there many other expats? Any clubs for trailing spouses - international womens club? How are you finding the housing, neighborhoods and getting to know people? Thanks for any info on the area and first impressions and recommendations you may have for us as we try to decide what to do!
