Any recommendations for an accountant that knows how to do Ecuador taxes for expats (not US taxes, just EC taxes)?
From my understanding foreigners are responsible for tax just after 6 months of being here (well, something like this)?

I'm actually looking for a local Ecuador accountant who knows Ecuador tax law and can answer questions. It doesn't have to be a specific person. A directory (such as comparable to yellow pages) would be a good start.

You're looking for what they call in español a "contador."
Visit paginasamarillas.com.ec (the Ecuadorian 'yellow pages'), type "Contador" in the search-box, choose from among eight possible EC cities and you're on your way.
