City is Muscat

accommodation prices (personal and also if sharing)

public transportation fares (car)

food prices (your monthly budget)

health prices (for those who need medical insurance)

energy prices (oil, electricity)

common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)

price for a good menu in a traditional restaurant

price for a coffee or a drink

2000 omani rials is a damn good salary and you can save a lot of money each month.  Housing will cost you around 300 RO per month in Muscat for a 2 bed-roomed apartment.  Transportation should cost you around 30 RO and food articles will not cost you must.  The entire budgeted expenses with a family of two children should not cost you more than 600 to 700 RO  if you choose to live lavishly. So you may safely save around 1300 to 1400 Omani rials which is quite massive.
