Transferable iqama

Transferable iqama or visa is nothing except a permission from your sponsor (kafeel) to change to another sponsor in case your profession is supported (such as general labor visa). With a transferable visa, if you come to Saudi Arabia and you would like to change your kafeel, you are allowed to do so (except a few special categories which are not allowed to take transfer, like a personal driver). The kafeel might be a company or an individual. There are government charges (2000 riyals) that are to be paid for first transfer. Some individual kafeels also take extra money as an office fees for government services done on your behalf and some do charge very high rate. Thus, be careful in selecting your kafeel upon transfer or purchasing visa for the very first time.
