Hi,
I am thinking about renting a place in Bangkok on my own sukhumvit 65- but I was wondering if i go out at night to a bar etc until say 1 or 2AM what would be the best way for me to get home by myself?
Is it true the skytrain closes at 12am? Are Taxis 24 hour?
please give advice as I don't want to get mugged walking home drunk on my own lol.

Taxi, taxis and tuk tuk's are there 24/7. If you get into a taxi at, let's say 4am, just remember to ask for "meter" otherwise youll get double prize.
Anywho, you can walk back home if you feel like it. Nobody really bothers you at those times in the morning, unless you are very loud or are causing trouble.
However, if you sleep, let's say in the middle of the road, then prospects might change.

Agree with LuisF. Unless you are rude and have 1,000 baht notes showing in your top pocket you will not have an rouble. Skytrain stops at midnight so take ataxi.
