Has anyone ever hired a car in Malta to drive back to the UK, if so which company as i am struggling to find one that does one way hire back to the UK.

I don't think you will find a hire company willing to do one way hire from Malta.
We found it difficult to find one willing to hire one for use in Sicily!
If you do you would have to pay for the car to be returned to Malta so I would expect the cost to be astronomical.

yes we have finally bit the bullet and are going to pay the 1000 euro to an agent to get her back.
