It seems the American Embassy is now non-smoking, inside and out!
Last night there was the regular steak night (invite by appointment only - I only got on the list through pure chance, an invite from a friend of a friend), and we had to leave all smoking paraphernalia with our phones, at the door.
I appreciate non-smoking restaurants and anywhere inside, but I was surprised an outdoor venue in Saudi chose not to allow it as well.
