Hello!

       I was the third foreign woman to live in the village of Las Terrenas, Samana Province, Dominican Republic.  My husband was a U.S. diplomat stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 1975-1978.  He was the first foreigner to build a vacation house in Las Terrenas.  This was in 1977.  From 1978 to 1998 we spent three months a year in Las Terrenas.
