Hello,

I received a job offer to work as a Operational Controller in Kuala Lampur. I have two years of experience as a Junior Controller and I'm finishing my master degree. The company asked me what were my expectation in terms of salary and contractual conditions. What would be normal to ask for?

Hi as you are young with two years experience you wouldn't expect more than 10k RM. But it depends. 10k is enough for a single person who is young, has no commitments and doesn't need to save. Some might get a bit more but as you are from a PIGS (portugal Italy greece and spain)country with high unemployment what really matters is this job good for you career wise? Actually same for anyone. Money isn't everything. If it is a good career move then less would be acceptable but less than 7k would ne very miserable.
