TENNIS AFFICIONADO: How much grunting, screaming, etc. ...

is acceptable or expected for a 'friendly' game of tennis (as opposed to TV grunting)?

Someone asked why.

It's because one bunch of tennis nuts start playing at 05.30H every morning and awaken many people - so we want to know what is reasonable.

I believe that is a sign of exaggeration. I think the best way to avoid that noise is opening the windows and talking out loud " SHUT UP!"

So far we have 'seeded' the court with road, gravel and used an canned-air horn. We also throw stones at the keepers room windows, at night.

The players say 'It is normal' - watch professionals on TV. I don't recall hearing orgasmic screams or exaggerated laughter when watching Wimbledon.

This is why we decided to get a take on this from fellow HCM tennis players.
