Looking for an apartment, or room in Kefalonia for 2 months

Hey there,

My hubby and I have just decided we'd like to spend 2 months in Kefalonia from mid-July - mid-September 2015.  We are Kiwis, very chilled, easy going, and just fancy some warm weather and a beautiful beach to escape to during our winter back home :)

Can anyone recommend an accommodation website, OR even an apartment/room for rent during that time of next year.   We are used to backpacking around the planet, so not too fussy as long as its clean, ensuite bathroom, kitchen (shared is fine), etc...

Thanks heaps

Cheers  :D

Hi there,

Try Kykeon Rooms, Ano Katelios 22, Katelios 28082,  (Google it)

contact them direct and negotiate for the long rental.  You should get a GOOD price.
I stayed there last year only for a week at Easter and got an excellent room for 89 euros FOR THE WEEK!

Ask for a room on the front................

Its on the east side near Scala, where there are a mass of good eating places....

Hey there Mr Grocer,

Thanks heaps for that info .. I'll email him right away.

Cheers

Ohh one more question ....

Is Kefalonia a good choice .. for gorgeous beaches and a little bit of action ..?

There are so many Islands to choose from ...

Cheers
Dee

Hi Dee,

Kefalonia is VERY quiet, I think the best beaches are around Skala (a few minutes from the place I recommended), but there are so many very nice beaches / coves around the area.

If you want heavy night club action this really is not the place, then you should be looking at Laganas on Zante or Faliraki on Rhodes.

Greece is a fantastic country for holidays and besides the 100's of islands don't forget the mainland.  The Peloponnese is so unspoilt (where many of the Athenians go for their holidays), and from there its easy to get
to many of the historic sites (like Olympia), drive to Athens, a one & half hour ferry trip to Kefalonia etc etc

HI again,

OK thanks.  No we don't want heavy nightclubs etc... but do like to go to local bars, socialise and meet locals/other tourists,  Thanks heaps for your advice, really appreciate it.    :)

Cheers
Dee
