While living in other countries and travelling I have always bought medical travel insurance. I have health insurance for me and my family here, but it is not valid for travel. I assume travel insurance can be purchased here in Bahrain, but I have no idea where. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ive seen one thread suggesting to Google it, but I kind of left it to last minute and Im hoping someone could recommend a specific provider from experience.

For convenience your best bet is probably Axa. They have offices in a number of locations, including in City Centre mall by Carrefour.

Just go online and purchase. Just google travel insurance. Going into places in this day and age is archaic.

Unfortunately not all health insurance providers are online efficient here, including AXA. They send you the physical forms and you will need to sign them and return them etc. In Bahrain, sometimes doing things face to face is quicker than doing them online.
