Recruitment company in Bahrain

Hi Guys,

I am running a small recruitment firm in England specialising in Sales, IT, Engineering. I am planning to open a branch in Bahrain. I choose bahrain because I will get some help from a friend of mine whose office I will be able to use.

I need a little help as what are the field and industry where mostly British Expats are working. This way it will help me to target those particular fields only and look for companies who are looking for talent from UK.

I am not just trying to advertise my business here or ask for business just need help from british and European expats which fields they are working. What salary will be ideal for a senior manager position or chief engineer or minimum Salary which is good enough for a British Expat to live in Bahrain.

Hope to hear some feed back.

Thanks

Bill

Hello there and welcome to the forum.

The salaries really varies depending on the sector but for a Chief level, I don't think it would be less than 4K unless the company is tiny. Senior managers should be 2K+ based on my experience. But really it depends on the sector. In Bahrain, finance sector seems to pay more than others. Again, the salaries are for a British expat. Some other nationalities may be less.

Finance sector is a big one in Bahrain but also Telecoms, Aluminium and Retail sectors are in demand. Many people live in Bahrain and work in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province so you should certainly keep an eye on there as well.

If you need any further help, feel free to let me know.

The majority of western expats work in engineering or the oil and gas industry. I would say that 90% of the people I know here work in those two - other major market is teachers

Oil and gas are obvious for every country in this region. But Bahrain has a lot more industries other than just oil and gas. Let's not forget construction business here as well.

Hi Brightonguy,

Thanks for all your help and support. I am planning to visit Bahrain in first week of September. It will be good to meet you too if you free that time. My email is [email protected] . If you don't mind sending me your contact details so I will contact you once there.

Big Thanks to Josnuggles and Kenjee too.
