Kuwait Visit Visa

Hi, Can anyone shed light into visit visa requirements for Kuwait? My profession is Marketing Specialist on the Iqama, validity of Iqama is roughly 5 months (I hear they need 6 months validity to issue visa on arrival - is that correct). Do you also need to carry original Iqama or a stamped copy from the company is enough? I am planning to drive down.

Thanks in advance,
John Kuriakose

they will not let you into Kuwait.

and the reason being

Yes, six month min just like any of GCC countries check http://goo.gl/R39ROC for more details.

you would have to check with the kuwait embassy in saudi about the requirements to drive to Kuwait, whether or not they allow visa on arrival via the land ports if you are driving etc.

the saudi embassy in kuwait has outsourced its visa processing to an outside office called jazeera, see if the same is true in saudi for kuwait, go there and ask.

I did contact the Saudi Embassy, one guy said 3 months and the other said 6 months. I am days short of 6 months. I have decided to drive down to the border this weekend and find out if they will let me pass or not. I tried to renew my Iqama, but that can only be done 3 months prior to expiry. So I guess I will have to drive down and see in person whats the procedure.

Will update once done.

please do; thank you in advance and best of luck to you ;)
