Moving to Puerto Rico.

I am definately moving to PR in September. I have visited the island a few times in the past (Last there was 2000) I recieve Social Security Disability and was asking what the cost of renting a small studio would be? Maybe in SJ. I am single and am not high maintenance! HaHa!
I have checked 'Classificados online PR' and noticed that a few were quite reasonable - is there other online sites I could check?

I was going to suggest clasificados online but you already found that one. I wouldn't know of a better online resource.

I understand Gary and thank you. However, I have lived in Mexico for so long - I have found the best way of finding a place is not online or in the papers, but walking around and spotting for rent signs.

I live on a fixed income and my rent range is $200 to $400 a month. With that said, I am interested in maybe just renting a room in a house or something. Indeed, I have seen a couple posted on clasificados - but, I was wondering if, once on PR, there were other options.

Any suggestions?

Well, yes, but you should be here like you said.
As soon as you have made new friends, you will hear stuff.

I hear things from friends and acquaintances like places for rent in our area, cars for sale etc.

In some areas people put up a sign when they have something for rent. There's of course the local papers (El Nuevo Dia -- http://www.elnuevodia.com/  Primera Hora -- http://www.primerahora.com/ ) that have a huge classified section in their printed edition.

From where you are now clasificadosonline.com is the best source.

Hi Luis, and welcome to Expat.com,

Maybe you should post in the classifieds section too ?

Thanks! Will do!
