Day-care

Dear friends,

I just wanted to do a little research. How many expats would be interested in sending their little ones to a nice clean modern day care in Addis. I am a mom of two myself who recently moved to Addis from Dallas. It was really hard for me to find a nice daycare for my children..I finally end up sending them to Fidel (a french medium kindergarden)I have seen several day cares I wasn't very fond of most of them and that inspired me to open one. I want to see how my fellow expats friends thinks of that please advice

Dear friend

It is a great idea if there is a good day care at a good location there is a big demand both from the expats and the locals keep it up and good luck if you need a partner to work with my wife will be interested. We are setting up a small firm to produce baby cribs and clothing to EU standard and we have seen the demand in all baby clothing, services and clothing it is a growing sector as the economy is growing and more expats coming in.

Dear friend,

Thank you for taking time to reply to my message. That would be nice to have a partner to work with...I am currently in Dallas for few weeks will be back to Addis end of July. I will be happy to meet with your wife and discuss plans if she is interested...feel free to contact me at xxx
Again thank for the nice words!!!

This was a great idea , however the chalange is always the RealEstate ( location ) and lease price
Good luck

Dear all, was there any follow-up on this???

Hi, My son goes to Head to Toes Nursery>> It is fine and he enjoys being there. Compared to other nurseries; I beleive it is the best!

It is located near the African Union Commision.

Dear,
I am wondering if your idea was realized. I myself am thinking starting a pre school really curious what your experiences are?! I have secured a location near Sahletlari , gurdshola area where I think is accessible and many young couples live.
Please feedbacks are welcome
Greetings

Hi Kotebe2017,

It will be better if you create your own topic on the Addis Ababa forum as this thread is old. The initial poster has not connected since years now.

You will get some feedbacks easily on a new thread.

All the best,
Bhavna

hello , where is the location of the day care you recommend , I have a six month old baby girl , & I am looking for one of those , thx

hello, I have a 6 month baby & am looking for baby sitter or a good  day care , do you have any information?

Hi Thishi,

Perhaps you could drop an advert in the Babysitting job vacancies in Addis Ababa section of the website, and see if members contact you. There is also a contact in the business directory here : Nursery and kindergarten in Addis Ababa
All the best,
Bhavna

Thank you for the comment

Dears,

No one understands it more than a parent looking for quality daycare how daycare is very essential. From the caregivers to the administrators. Everyone involved in a daycare's operation helps shape a child's experience. It's no surprise that finding a good daycare is a prime concern; for many families, it's a safe, clean and affordable option that allows kids to socialize and learn in a loving environment structured around their needs.
When it comes to Ethiopia it's really a headache for all families. Dear if you are planning to open nice daycare in Addis believe me you will be profitable and even mentally you will be satisfied.
I want to say go for it.
I look forward to hear back from you.

Stay blessed!
