Hi when is the best months to look for work in Malta? I am thinking next February 2015. Would I likely be able to get work cleaning or waitressing. I am English and do not speak any other language. If I managed to get work in a hotel would I be able to get a live in and pay rent to live in the hotel or at least til I was able to find somewhere to live. Qwara and Buggiba area I would like to work and live . What hourly rate would I likely get for either waitressing or cleaning and would I get a set amount of hours per week. I am early 50's. thanks . Hi Pollyanna,

Febuary might not be the best time to come to Malta looking for work in the jobs you suggest.

At the best it would probably be part-time , especially in the Bugibba area, as many hotels close over the winter. The wage would be minimum which is around 4 /hour. Whether you can live of that is a question you have to answer yourself.
