How often do you use the plane?

I am flying to London again in a couple of days. It's the second time this month :D
I think I used the plane at least 30 times last year (and I liked it as I like travels)

What about you?

Olivier de Montréal

2 or 3 aller-retours par an... :)
but only transatlantic flights.

Tôm Càng

1 return fly to France in summer (12000 kms)
Some national and regional flights (Vietnam and nearby countries).

Not that much...

Guesposter58

Too much!!!! :(

I hate using it too. It's bad for the environment, and most of the time, I'm sure I could have done the work remotely via the wonders of the internet.

Last few months, and I've been travelling a lot more than normal. Off to UK for work training as well next month.

Well, suppose it gives me 10 hours (12 hour flight) to catch up on some movies (thanks to Virgin's great entertainment system)

Well I think that I use the plane a lot as well...around 30 times this year. Hard not using the plane when you are living abroad, it s fast and sometimes even cheap (depending on the destination of course).

Airline companies are making good money with people like us!

For this year, I used the plane not too much ... only a simple way to come in Italy ... and on return ticket for christmas.
But next year will be different, because I will attend to some conferences ... so plane will be needed !

If you've got few advice to share about airlines, here is the perfect topic: airlines

There's a HUGE difference between a flight Spain/England and Japan/England or Canada/France!

If I would have to spend 12 hours in the plane I would hate it!! (fortunately I don't often spend more than 2 hours in the plane)

Escott

From the Dominican Republic I went to NY 3 times, Cuba 1 time, Colombia 1time, Panama 1 time.

Way too much travel for my taste!:)

kazana

i've also had a busy flight schedule this year:
south africa -> (14 hours) germany -> (14h) south africa -> (14h) germany -> (14h) south africa -> (13h) thailand -> (13h) south africa.
next stop: germany and then on to ireland.

stupid me, i should've signed up for all frequent flyers programs a long time ago.

Français en Finlande

Only 3 ways, both direction this year. I'll take the plane in January, coming back Finland!

In my family, planes and all means of transport are members of the tribe.
Both my grandfathers worked/loved airplanes, my parents met because they had to buy an airplane for the government in Alaska, one of my brothers is a pilot and all of us have the flying-travelling bug. It's genetic.
I sure miss a plane! For personal reasons, I couldn't go back to Angola last Summer, so I missed the plane moment of the year... :( I miss a plane like I miss travelling. For the first time, I spent over 365 days in the same country and... it's driving me nuts... :p
So, it has been more than a year (say two) that I didn't take a flight. But in 2004, for Summer holidays, I had 10 plane trips in 6 weeks.
As we say in French: "when we love, we don't count"! :D

I travel by plane twice a year and frankly I hate it... Hope someone soon invents travelling Star-Trek-style, just beaming up and down. Now THAT would be a real progess...

Deedee

I fly 3x a year on average but last year I did 6. I don't mind the flying per se, but I'm not fond of airport activities - either a long wait or rushing from one gate to another and a lot of queueing - from check-in to security checks (sometimes up to 3 points).

I am not sure we'll see that before year 3000!:lol::lol:

manu

The less I take the plane, the better I am :p

Comme dirait Cabrel : "J'ai peur de l'avion..." ;)

Gary

Not too much anymore, 2, 3 times per year. ( and that's enough!) I used to fly every week for too long.. :P

JasfurJQ

i miss flying already, my last flight was coming here in jeddah that was 2006....

rajrana1981

i dont mind flying every week until my company pays for my fare .
