Medical clinic or hospital

We are currently looking at 3 countries to retire to (D.R. Costa Rica & Ecuador). My wife has a rare blood disorder (polycythemia) and she needs to have blood work done on a monthly basis.

We are looking for property where we have a view of the ocean but we do not want to be near it. Can anyone suggest an area we should be concentrating on and is there is a medical clinic or hospital in the area?

Hi...just wanted to mention Yachay in Ecuador .. this is a town being built now.. it will be a University town where the best medical and technological minds of the world will meet under one roof.. the town is not on the coast.. but just may be something to be aware of..rare... does not mean incurable..?..

There are many towns along the coast that should meet your stated needs.for polycythemia, about any small hosptial should be albe to take the blood monthly for her..
