Hello Silent,

Well it's not obligatory, but you'll certainly find it much more difficult to make friends here if you don't let people know who you are!

Have you ever seen "Phantom of the Opera"? Would you want to make friends with somebody who wears a mask and hides in the shadows like the phantom did? I sure wouldn't! I don't think many people would.

The more people know about somebody else the more information they have to go on when deciding whether or not they want to establish a friendship or avoid further contact.
