Working women in KSA

Hello everybody:
IŽm an ER female doctor from Spain and I'm thinking of moving to KSA. I'm married and have three little girls (8, 6 and 1 year old).
I'd like to know about accomodation near Takhassusi Road, schools, work for my husband,  and how could it be living and working for an expat woman in KSA.
Thank you

Can you mention which city is that in? Riyadh? I am guessing you will be coming by yourself at the moment.

I suppose it's in Riyad; it all depends on the interviews during this week.  The idea is moving all the family when the school period finish in Spain.

offcourse you can move to riyadh with your family. But for your husband work, he should find a suitable job and enter in KSA with his work VISA. He cannot work here without VISA, but he can stay here on your dependent VISA. If he is working here with our proper visa, he might be in trouble or get deported. So good luck.

I wish you good luck with the interview and recruitment process. I am not sure if the offer will include residence. Most Europeans prefer to live in a residential compound which is a fenced community with sporting and other facilities inside. Women can't drive in Saudi and depend on family to drive them around or drivers/cabs. Women need to wear a black gown like thing to hide their clothing when in public. Tattoos, crosses, etc are not prohibited. There are lots of international schools in Riyadh that you can search for.

there are a lot of women working in KSA.... my wife is one of them....  she's doing fine, she enjoys her work, except the travel, because there's no public transportation suitable for women, so she's dependent on me when it comes to going to places.....

if you husband's work is in the healthcare field as well, then maybe your new hospital will have a place for him, but he has to apply for a separate working visa....

whoever between you two gets a better salary package can take on your children as dependents... i heard some companies provide educational allowance for up to 2 children.

Tattoos, crosses, etc are not prohibited.

FTFY

Your husband can transfer from your sponsorship to the new work.
He does not need to travel out and then come back with a different working visa.
In that process, his Iqama status will change from a dependent to the profession he will be working.
Very easy fast process for your husband to find a job while he is here. So he can visit companies and make interviews directly.

Takhassusi Hospital provides you the two options of accommodation, their privet compounds/housing or allowance and you choose a housing place.
There are also some schools for hospital's employees' kids and many other international schools around Riyadh.

If it is other privet hospital you are applying at, then the change from the above is the income of course and the housing type/ allowance and schooling. One famous private hospital (Suliman Al-habiab) gives an educational allowance.

Best luck!

Does it mean also wife living on dependent visa can get job and dosent need to travel back and enter with work visa? Coz the situation would be does they need to have degree attestation or dont need?

Yes I would like to know that too. My wife is a specialist doctor too and will be coming to  KSA initially as my dependent.

When she wants to pursue a job again and possibly be inducted in the same hospital as me, will she need to exit KSA and re-enter on a different visa or can sposnsorship be transferred ?

Her degrees have been attested by HEC and MOFA but of course not by the Saudi embassy as they require an employment  letter for that.

All help will be appreciated.  Thanks.

Yes, your dependants can get a job and transfer sponsorship.

Attesting educational certificates from MOHE & MOFA is always a valid point whether one is going to work outside his country or not.

Attesting from Saudi embassy was done before with no need for job offer but now it is different. The job offer is necessary.

I saw many friends and persons asking their relatives or friends to do it for them in their country and then send it by express mail or with someone.

Another way but not always working, is attesting from your university country's embassy here then from Saudi MOFA then from Saudi MOHE.

Cheers

Thanks Lion R.E. Very important information
