;) This could kick off a version of the 'ice cream wars'.
Personally, I don't think you stand a chance in making this a successful business.

Hi Vladimir,

it sounds as if you have never been to Malta !

In the tourist areas there are ice-cream (mostly Italian gelati) shops on every corner and inbetween as well. I guess there is always room for another ice-cream parlour but it won't be easy.

You also have to look into the necessary permits and shop classes when you rent something. Expensive? What would you consider expensive? Everything in tourist areas is expensive.

To start any kind of business in Malta you need to do your homework. Many new small enterprises/shops close down after a few weeks or months.

Thank you for the information  :)

Hi Ricky,I've been to Malta,Buggiba, and what impressed me is that there were two ice cream shops against each other and all the time there were many people waiting in both places.Almost everyone eats ice cream and in Malta is full with tourists and hot weather,so I think if I find a good place it is posoble to succeed.Thats why now I am looking for any kind of information.Thank you

Some of those kiosks along the front of Bugibba rent for 70 euro a day...That's 70 scoops of icecream to sell everyday, 365 days a year just to cover the rent! Unless your surname is Tanti, you will get involved in icecream wars!!

Before you start cost this; initial investment/leasing, costs per day then units to sell before profit.
You need to do a feasibility study and then construct a business plan and get it costed.
And that's just your business then add your own living expenses.
