Hi,

From my understanding, once you are married to a Mauritian citizen, you don't really need any kind of visa to live/work here. Just have a copy of your marriage certificate handy.

Source: I asked in Port Louis at the office responsible for issuing residence permits.

I'd suggest you go in person and ask to verify this to make sure.

I don't think you can do civil Marriage on Student Visa if you can than it takes only 2 month to get Residence permit but once u get married you do not need any Visa for staying

not only marriage certificate cu residence permit will be useful,finish your degree or course.how you will be independent and have a career,later you will get pr n can buy property also.
