The other side of the Montenegrin postcard

Hi,

As a tourist in a foreign country, very often, we are enchanted with what we discover.

Living abroad is different. It's a rich experience but there are also some difficulties to face.

When people ask me for advice on living abroad, I then tend to say that one should also look at both sides of the postcard.

As an expat in Montenegro, how would you describe the two sides of your Montenegrin postcard?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Julien

Hi everyone,
I happened here with just 38 EURO and a broken boat engine. That was 4 years ago.
Now I have many friends,  lots of jobs, work permit and my boat almost done.
It is, sometimes, a bit wet and windy in the winter but it is ok for sailing, isn't it?
Beautiful all year round. They say it is a pilot version of the paradise. I confirm.
During my more than 4 year experience of living in Montenegro I still could not find something really negative.
People are friendly. If your point is to find yourself it is probably the best place to try.
Well if you are lazy - you'd better have some money backup ;o)
Very good place for retirement though.
If I find anything bad I'll let you know. But I would not bet on that.
Sincerely yours,
Eddie
