I recently got my Drivers License. DETRAN kept my USA license. Supposedly there is a new law allowing this. Does anyone know what they do with it.? Can I get it back?

Probably not, I think they return it to the USA issuing authority which would be the DMV in the state where it was issued. It is my understanding that, like in most places, holding more than one DL is an offense.

I was thinking the same. I needed an expert opinion which I knew I could get here. I've had several people tell me DETRAN could not do it. I was pretty sure that they could.
