Dear,

I came here in saudi arabia on 20th december 2013. My visa is mechanical engineering visa and but I am not engineer, when I have tried to registered myself on saudi engineering council website I received a rejection and my iqama cannot be processed. I need to go to my country on final exit but my company told me the documents need to send riyadh at ministry. Any one having advice? What to do?

j.echo

let us wait for HR GURU on this.....

but why would you register at saudi engineering council if you are not an engineer?? definitely you will have problems with iqama because you cannot be registered with SEC.

what i know is that all expats in saudi have a 3-month probation, under which, employers can terminate the contract and send the employee home without any delay.

Nasirsiddique

Thanks for reply.

That was I heared too but they told me your iqama is not processed which is causing delay and there are some new rules. I don't know what are new rules. I have registerd on SEC as per guideline of comany since they don't know the rules.

j.echo

that is tough..... i mean you haven't actually been able to settle down yet.... i suggest you to push your HR...  if they need you to follow it up everyday..

are you getting paid by the way??? because it is not your fault if you are waiting... you should get paid

Nasirsiddique

Yes the payment is not issue for me so far but I jast want to know what these new rule are??
My company has collected one letter from SEC in which it is mentioned that I am not eligible for this visa and iqama cannot be processed. Now I am suggested by company that on the basis of this letter we can arrange your exit but this taking time. Is that a time taking process??

SaQiB

i think the best solution is to get your HR to change your profession into some other profession to which they can provide support against.

IF they are not able to change the profession before getting an Iqama i believe you have to go back and come again with a proper visa which has a profession that you or your company can justify.

Nasirsiddique

Thanks saqib,

Thats what I want to go back and don't want to come back but is this time taking process? Thats the question?
