Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. Am due to move to Jeddah in June with my husband who has lived and worked there for a few years. We are Muslim and will not be living in a compound but as a Brit I would love to make some female  friends and find some activities to share in before I arrive so I don't die of boredom.

She said "Hello ladies" and said she wants "female friends".  Wasnt that clear enough for you?

Hello Sal!

Advance congrats and best wishes on your next chapter of life with your to-be husband.

Arriving and living here, expect a culture shock but inshaallah you'll get used to it and goodluck on meeting new female friends here. I'd like to be one of them.   :D

Hi, welcome to the forum, I hope you will connect with some good people.

Someone said that arriving in June is a bad thing, personally it don't find the heat that bad (people tend not to go out much in the day), but depending on when you come you maybe here for Ramadan!

I personally find it the best place to be, and much better than the uk. (Eid without the family isn't great) but Insha Allah you will have a beneficial time.

Oh if it is Ramadan when you come don't expect to get any paperwork from the government offices such as yo ur iqama done.
