We'd like to retire in Ecuador. Where, if any, is it healthy to live in Ecuador with an asthma condition? What is the best altitude and weather conditions?

Just a thought: unless u enjoy suffering ... get yourself to a good experienced doctor of Chinese medicine , get some acupuncture and herbs and leave your asthma behind... and enjoy life in E , clean air, nutritious and clean food.. nice people..?

I have asthma, I live in Quito, near Mitad del Mundo. I have trouble at the beach, but not in dry areas. It really depends on your triggers. Mine is cold and spores so here the temperature varies so little I am doing great, and with eating mostly organic, I have had one incident that required medication. So,, good luck I hope you get lots of replies, I know how miserable it can be when you just can't breathe.
