Have a son, who must ladge in Viena for about 3 months,going on studies practice and I want to now average cost of and independant room,food,transport etc on and economical base.Just want to have and idea.

Hi!
It is common to live in a WG, that is a shared appartment, a room costs about 300 Euro, depending on the size and what is included (internet etc). If you want an appartment on your own that would be more expensive, but it depends on size and location. Subway/Bus etc. is 50 Euro/month. You can eat out for 10-20 euros including drink (again depending on how fancy you want it). Hope it helps.
