How to get into Oil & Gas Industry?

Hi everyone,
I am working is Oman from past 2 & half years with L&T Oman LLC as Sr Engineer Civil. This is my very first company since i got selected via campus recruitment & got posted over here. First One and half years i worked as Site engineer in 220/132kv Upgradation of Jahloot Grid station & 220kv OHL project, This was the very same project which got awarded as "Best infrastructure of the year 2013". Now i want to move into oil & gas industry. So i am trying really hard but everywhere they are asking lot of experience. So i want to ask you guys like what actually is required t get into this industry & whether there are any openings?
