hello everybody i will be moving from manchester england to HCM early 2014 and my question is should i bring my sony playstation 3/4 with me or buy new in vietnam any thoughts pls ? (sorry for geeky question)

You should buy it here. PS3 is available in Saigon, but not PS4...yet.

For comparison I saw the ps3 12gb for 5180000 but can buy in Australia for 3840000 so they are more expensive in VN. The games seem reasonable priced compared to what I'm used too. The ps4 was shown as 15680000 on the haloshop.vn.
I brought my ps3 and games over when I moved to VN as I didn't want to buy it all twice.
