Hi Cesar,

I've mooved your post to the English speaking forum of Shanghai for a better interaction with the other members.

If you want to interact in english please use that forum, but if you feel more comfortable in spanish you can use the spanish speaking forum.

Regards,

I hope to visit Shanghai in April next year but want to know the customs and such things as "is the water safe to drink?" How do I greet people? I have no knowledge of Chinese language. Any helpful suggestions?

Hi Strop,

If you only want to know answers to questions like "is the water safe to drink?" I think I can help.I have lived here for almost half a year and I am still alive. So I think the water is okay. And how to greet people, this is easy, just look into people's eyes, wave your hand and say hello. Chinese language can be your biggest trouble.Any question?

i think i can teach you how to greet for people or say hello to others. Please don't worry about water is safe. You can drink good water.
