I'm relatively new here, have the OSN Premier Plus Package (I have more channels than are listed) and am looking to find what is on and when.  Is there any way to get a schedule for all, or most, of the channels?

KSA = Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. (+1hr from our time)

I can provide a TV Guide for anyone like me who doesn't buy a package:

At any time of the day you'll get -
Fox Series: ER/Scrubs/Ugly Betty
Fox Movies: Swordfish or a StarWars movie
Gear One: Skid pan challenge
JSA1: Football or handball
JSA2: Handball or football
MBC1-4: Steven Seagal Movie

I don't watch much tv :)

I've not got round to it yet, so still have the basic Nilesat channels, ie fox, mbc and jsc 1&2. However, a Libyan friend of mine told me about a "Dongle" box that will open thousands of channels, many Western and English channels also.

He told me it was around 350-400 LYD for the full set-up including dish, box and installation. he is out of the country on business at the moment so I don't have much more knowledge about it. Does anybody know any further details on this or actually have one installed?

Cheers, Karl

how much did you pay for your OSN Premier package and until when is its validity?

Siddiqui

Kes,

You can go to any of the satellite shops and ask them for the Dongle.

The cost is close to LD 200. You have to buy a decoder box, a satellite dish to be pointed at the W6 satellite to decode the signals plus the installation.

Your receiver should be of compatible type, if not then you will have to buy a receiver as well....... LD 60 or so.

With this setup you will get most of the pay channels on Nilesat for free and quite a few of the channels on Hotbird as well.

All Showsports, Show movies, Art (Arabic) OSN channels are opened with this setup.

The only hiccup is that the whole thing goes on a blink on and off and you will have to upgrade the software on the dongle box to get up and running again. For this you will have to take it to the shop everytime and pay LD 3.00 for the update, or you can learn to do it yourself and live happily ever after.

Hope it helped.............
