Hi I'm Scottish and moving to Grenoble in mid-September...

I'm hoping to do a french course - has anyone been to the Alliance Française? Do you recommend it? (The uni course is too dear for me!) Is anyone doing this course?

Any information would be appreciated on meetups for novice french speakers (I'm about A2 level) and general gatherings too where english is spoken.

Hello Smookie,

I think the best way to learn french is (of course study) and to meet people who doesn't speak english!!!

You can start with people of differents country (who speaks french) and later it will be more simple for you to understand native speakers
