I am not from Dalian though.  I want to visit the great wall as well and would love to tag along.

Heys is an english teacher who organize almost every week-end a great hike in some wild part of the great wall. I did once a hike with them and it was great. People are very nice you will see. I am blocked in Dalian because i have my residence and working permit to get, so i won't be able to join you. Take care.
