hi,
i posted earlier under another topic re squash in mauritius and learnt that there is meant to be a court in flic en flac.

i went to flic but couldnt find the court or anyone who knew where it was.

can someone tell me where this court is, how much the court fees are, is there membership required (if so, how much), and how many people play squash there?

thanks in advance,

htp

David

Hi hunterthepunter,

Welcome to expat-blog!

Hope you will find the squash court soon. ;)

Hi Hunterthepunter

I think you refer to an old post of mine regarding squash in Flic en Flac. (Sorry if I missed a post of you there, but I haven't been very active on the block during the past 3 months)

I used to have access to a court in the complex where I stayed, but have since moved.
I contacted the Jet7 group who owns the appartment block (and court) to try and arrange using the court at a fee. Unfortunately, they were very adamant that the court is only available for residents.

The closest (usable) court to Flic en Flac seems to be the one in Tamarin.
If you play on and off, the guy charges Rs200 per player. If you play more regularly, you can arrange to pay Rs1000 per month and play as often as you like.

I am always keen for a game, so if you want to play at some point, please send me a pm.
